Nature in the balance.. two men on a quest

It is important to us that you feel at home at Fernandez & Wells.

Inspired by the growth of farmer's markets, our aim is simple: to provide freshly made, well-sourced food and drink in a space that is uncluttered, where the aromas are enticing and the service is friendly.

Our latest venture takes us to Exhibition Road, within a stone's throw of some of the city's finest museums. Here you'll find all the familiar F&W products - coffee, cake, wine, cheese, bread, jamon and more - for tasting in the shop or buying to take home.

The cultural links continue with our grandest location in Somerset House, one of the capital's finest 18th Century public buildings.

Although coffee provided the original spark, the first F&W opened as a Food and Wine Bar in Lexington Street, in London's Soho district, in January 2007. Three months later we found a perfect site for the café, just around the corner in Beak Street. In 2009, the Soho trilogy was completed with the opening of a Café Bar in St Anne's Court.

"Fernandez & Wells pulls off the not so easy trick of being warm and intimate, yet pretty cool too."

"We hanker after something more wholesome than a Pret sandwich so we head the extra mile to our favourite deli on Soho's Lexington Street."

"If only there were more coffee bars like this in central London, rather than the minefield of mediocre café and sandwich chains."

"...really good, well-sourced food, freshly put together in a relaxed but stylish environment."

"...intimate and redolent of Soho's history - featuring cast-iron columns, white walls and simple interiors."

"In my opinion, the ultimate sandwich shop is Fernandez & Wells, on Lexington Street."
