Just a short walk from the other two shops, the Espresso Bar sits in one of Soho's busiest alleyways.
Alongside a perfectly poured caffé latte or 'stumpy' (pictured) to start the day you might go for the classic plain croissant with butter and jam; or something more substantial like a grilled egg and pancetta on an English muffin. Mid morning there are plenty of cakes and other sweet temptations to fill the gap.
By lunchtime a bit of a queue might have built up for our 'pulled' roast pork in a bun with apple sauce or the daily choice of hot soup and stew. Fillings for our 'rustic' ciabatta rolls also change regularly, but most popular at the moment are skipjack tuna mixed with aioli, capers, cornichons and mixed herbs; and Parma ham, tomato and a drizzle of olive oil. For a light lunch, with a glass of wine perhaps, there are trays of 'pinchos', (small Spanish-style snacks), or platters of cheese and charcuterie to choose from.
A combination of these or 'raclette' on a winter's evening are ideal for the after work or pre-theatre crowd. Rick and Jorge are particularly proud of their list of European wines, available by the glass or bottle to take-away at any time.
